'Augmented Forms' is a series of works exploring the forgotten shapes of our natural environment. A part of our daily lives, yet often overlooked, leaves and plants are a vital part of our eco system and thus survival. Through a process of construction the artist gifts these forms with a greater presence and life. Forced from their natural organic shapes into geometric arrangements, the viewer meets a juxtaposition of manmade structures created from organic materials. The work highlights a reference to the way that humanity is shaping the planet to its own form, affecting natural equilibrium.
